Eugene Chieffo Education Fund
The Phoenix Chamber Music Society would like to honor the longtime dedication and commitment of Eugene Chieffo to youth. He not only taught gifted musicians, but also was an inspirational band director in the Phoenix Elementary School District #1. Gino played 1st chair oboe with the Phoenix Symphony from 1974-1982, the Summer Festival Orchestra at Brevard from 1981-1983, and the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Italy from 1984-1986.
This fund supports master classes and concerts for students, ages 10-24, given by world-cl chamber musicians from our series. Free tickets to the series concerts will be provided to all students participating.
The joy Gino found in teaching and performing will live on through these intimate classes and performances and will inspire and enrich the students' lives.
