The Harlem Quartet made their acclaimed debut in the fall of 2006 at Carnegie Hall, earning rave reviews from The New York Times. Avid chamber musicians and seasoned solo artists, they are the first place laureates of the Sphinx Competition. Dedicated to education and community engagement as well as to superb classical performance, the Harlem Quartet serves as principal faculty at the Sphinx Performance Academy at Oberlin College and Roosevelt College in Chicago, Illinois, and as visiting faculty at the Sphinx Preparatory Music Institute at Wayne State University in Detroit.


Misha Dichter, in the fifth decade of an illustrious career, has performed with virtually all o fthe worlds major orchestras. At the age of 20, while still enrolled at Juilliard, he entered the 1966 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. Mr. Dichter’s stunning triumph at that competition launched his international career. Mr. Dichter has collaborated with most of the world’s finest string players and frequently performs with Cipa Dichter in duo-piano recitals and concerto performances throughout North America and in Europe, as well as top summer music festivals in the U.S., such as Ravinia, Caramoor, Mostly Mozart, and the Aspen Music Festival.
